The Salmon Kings Game

On Saturday, Dec. 9th, 2006, I went to a Victoria Salmon Kings hockey game at the Save On Foods Memorial Arena. My dad, me, and my brothers (Michael and Matthew) got to sit in a suite to watch the game, and it had regular flip down seats, as well as couches and free popcorn, hot dogs, and pop. It had it's own bathroom too, so we didn't have to go that far to use it. It was fun to watch the game from those seats because our suite was in the centre of the rink, about 18 rows back. There was a Teddy Bear Toss when the Salmon Kings scored their first goal of the game. People would throw Teddy Bears on the ice and that was kind of annoying because it took a long time for them to clear the Teddy's off the ice so the game could go on.

The people we sat with were lawyers who had bought the suite for the season. Mr. Mulligan and Mr. Tam were very kind to us because they let us use their suite and helped up get popcorn sometimes. The have a law firm named, Mulligan Tam Pearson. They gave someone at the Law School these tickets for this game, and my dad, who works at the Law School, got them. It was nice that we could go into the suite to watch the game because we could walk around in the suite, and because we could see better with no people in front of us to block us.

The score was 3-2 for the Salmon Kings. I was glad that they won because I like the Salmon Kings a lot. It was the most fun hockey game in my life!!!

  1. Ryan, I loved reading your description of the hockey game. That sounds like a lot of fun. And I understand from Michael's blog that you have had some terrific storms lately. I hope that doesn't interfere with Santa finding your house. That would be a disaster!

    Love,
